Clash is a deep dive. It combines “Dancehall X” workshops curated by specialists, clash showcases and rounds, including with Litefeet, Krump, Afro, and all-styles. The core ethos is to remain connected to the originators of BIPOC dance traditions.
Dancehall is made and practiced directly on the streets. Maintaining and intensifying Dancehall’s presence in Australia is to elevate Dancehall as a core expression of street culture. Clash will focus on building Dancehall vocabulary, through battles and cyphers & learning from specialist teachers across a range of street styles in Naarm & Australia more broadly.
